New Year at La Finca
What an incredible New Year's holiday spent with the owners, Chris and Scarlett at their beautiful, home....the awesome views of the valley and surrounding mountains of the Sierra Nevada, the endless sunshine, enjoyed whilst soaking up the sun from the numerous sun terraces! This coupled with the mouth watering cooking from the talented hostess (and host!) made for a truly restful winter break. I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful holiday destination! I can't wait to make a return in the springtime.

hi
The reading room was cosy but not stuffy. It leads out to a small terrace with stunning views of the valley.

Scarlett and Chris,
We haven't yet been to Casa Amelia but it has been a great treat to meet the energy source behind the project whilst taking a well earned break in Mauritius. We were thrilled to share a very special dinner for Peter Pan's birthday, on the beach by the Indian Ocean with two of the most inspirational, positive and truly good people we have ever met..(That's the second compliment that Chris has had from a Yorkshireman).

We would be happy to help with the painting, just give us a call at anytime (but remember David is mechanically challenged!!!!).

We wish you long lives, health and happiness always.

Karen and David x

I gave my husband, Juan, a day's cooking class at Casa Amelia recently, and can safely say that the food produced was the tastiest we had during our 3 week stay in Andalucia. He thoroughly enjoyed both the instruction and Scarlett and Chris' company. Our son and I really enjoyed sampling the meal on the terrace overlooking the valley. The food was plentiful enough to feed our friends later in the evening too. We wish you every success with the new project and hope that some day we can visit again.

I had a superb stay with lovely hosts, Scarlett and Chris.
What a fantastic room! The high-quality Indian bedding matched the robe and the rug and the carpet. The bed itself was soooo comfortable to sleep in.

The food is top-notch quality, brought fresh from the market daily. YUM

Las Secanillos Art Exhibition 3rd July 2010
We were really looking forward to attending the Art exhibition here in the Lecrin valley. Whilst expecting to see some fine quality paintings we did not expect to find such delicious and tantalising tapas accompanied by fine wines supplied by 'Casa Amelia' To name but two of the nine mouthwatering choices their Mini Crab & Coriander Fishcakes and Pea Guacomole, Serrano Ham Tart were to die for. Their attention to detail, service and professionalism is second to none and as people who have organised events in the past we would not hesitate to use them and recommend them to others

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the exhibition on Saturday and especially the food. It was nice to see Chris again and to meet you. I thought your tapas were brilliant. I thought the whole exhibition was beautifully presented.

I want to thank you once more for the incredible reception, not every B&B owner is happy with two dust covered hikers on his threshold but you nor Chris didn't bother at all.
The house was a relief, the food was fantastic and the conversations made the evening enjoyable.
I hope you enjoyed it as well.

I would ask you again to inform me about the progress you're making with your finca 'cause I'm sure me (and my wife) will come to visit it once it's 'in working order'.
